Aalst is underrated as a day trip destination imho.
Plenty of interesting history, a good city museum, lots of restaurants and shops, and a nice park.

There was a girl I used to know there. My ex. I lived in Ghent and went to visit her there in the weekend. Funny thing though: a while after it was over, I began with a girl from Dendermonde. Who was a colleague of her? The sister of my ex. But she was an adult and didn’t mention much about her sister and me.
