SS: Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California said soldiers with the Israel Defense Forces joined Israeli settlers with American-made rifles in blockading him for over an hour during a trip to the West Bank earlier this week.
Speaking with CNN on Saturday, Khanna called on the Israeli government to prosecute the IDF soldiers and the settlers.
The incident followed a visit to an elementary school that was destroyed by extremist Israeli settlers, Khanna said.

IDF doesn’t really have time for this or focus on this. They wouldn’t randomly block a road. I think he’s quite confused about the situation because if IDF wants something done they wouldn’t merely stand around and do nothing. They are not random old women, they have the ultimate power in the areas under Israel control per Oslo Accords deal with the West Bank leadership. So if they want you moved or turn you back that’s what’s going to happen.
But his statement about them telling him they don’t care who he is rings very true. They likely did spent time moving the settlers and told the Americans to have patience and stand back. The issue is that IDF doesn’t have much control over settlers as they have Israel citizenship.

And I’m sure he’ll milk the publicity now for all it’s worth. What a jerk.

He clearly went there to create a controversy and up his creds. He’s a true cynic

America’s support for Israel vitally depends on Americans not finding out about the Israeli settler mentality.
