    1. Mojtaba Khamenei is believed to have been wounded in the February attack by Israel and the US that killed his father, mother and wife, the new supreme leader has remained in hiding since the war began,
      communicating with his supporters
only through written statements, never showing his face or using his voice.

There is no chance this guy will just show up in public, or just show up his exact location.

After what happen during the first day of this second Iran war they will just make sure he stay alive. You can speculate as much as you want.

Is he physically hurt? High chance that happen, but don’t expect to see him or the future leader in public.

    3. Schrodinger’s Ayatollah.

Ofc being absent to your father’s funeral is a pretty bold statement if he’s alive

Esp since while there is always risk of assassination, last time someone of importance was nipped before the recent attacks, is sometime in April.

And so many people gathered at the funeral that could have easily been wiped out yet neither USA nor ISR attacked the funeral. Mojtaba could at least provided an audio recording. Which is why so many think either coma or dead

Missing your own dad’s funeral is the kind of signal that doesn’t get walked back. Whatever’s actually going on with him, the absence is the story now, and every week he doesn’t appear publicly it just confirms the worst speculation. You can see them scrambling in the optics, massive crowds, the giant portrait, religious processions designed to project strength while the man stays offstage.

It’s the same playbook aging authoritarian systems use when the leader is fading, keep the iconography loud so the institution survives the man. The problem is once the rumor mill starts it never really stops, and at this point every staged photo release just feeds more questions. Whoever’s pulling the strings behind the curtain has to be pretty nervous about succession right now.

So what? Did we expect him to just pop out and give a big speech? Everyone around him got shredded. Would you make an appearance if you were him?

    6. He did not miss the funeral. He did the same as DJT and avoids extra risk, since there are at least 2 nations killing people nilly willy left and right.

    7. Maybe he doesn’t want to go out like his old man. Considering his old man was all but assassinated, can you fault him for being careful?

No worries, I spoke to him yesterday for 20 minutes and we talked about geopolitics, poetry and he is really looking forward to the new The Odyssey movie. Also he hopes Germany will win the world cup

Watching reddits reaction to not hearing even a word from this guy vs the mitch mcconnell rumors is insane.

    10. Genius move. A dead Ayatollah will not be in the way of whoever controls Iran, and he could not be killed by the US or Israel. I think Iran is officially a necrocracy now. Necrocratic Republic of Iran/Japan.

    11. People keep assuming he’s in a coma or dead, but what if he’s sustained some kind of head injury that’s handicapped him mentally? That might explain why they say he’s still alive, but are terrified to show any kind of video proof.
