US sanctions, er, tariffs, are causing devastating harm to a number of major Canadian industrial sectors.

Tbh, every one of these headlines makes me think, „good.“ We’re trying to send a message to them, and maybe one day they’ll hear it.
Canada has zero political leverage but we can pick where we spend our money.
These articles show that it can have an effect.
That’s good news. Americans are not our friends, and don’t deserve our economic support, or any support otherwise.
People might blame Trump, but he’s a symptom of a populace that will always do us harm if it means benefiting themselves. Left or right, Americans aren’t here for us.
Hope we remember that the next time they beg us for help because of a terrorist attack, infrastructure collapse, or whatever else happens in their crumbling empire.
That’s how sovereign countries work, they make decisions to benefit their country. The US tariffs and trumps bad faith trade is the problem, not Canada
I’m sympathetic to California because a) they didn’t vote for this and b) I like their wines, but they really ought to take this up with their President because “we’re going to make you the 51st state” is a pretty significant and unprovoked attack on us. It would be irresponsible of us not to respond with the limited tools we have at our disposal.
We will drop the boycott if we open the fucking bridge. We will put the shit on the shelves and if it doesn’t sell because you guys are being dicks well then so be it.
Until they feel the need to devastatingly bring it up with the person actually responsible they can respectfully fuck off.
Excellent. Wiping out $500 million (CAD) off US revenue with wine boycotts and boasting Canadian industry. This is win-win for us.
America, you picked this fight. We didn’t want it, but the fact you have not impeached the orange monster means you want to keep bringing it.
CAl are democrats so their feds will not give a shit about them. Just as how the Alberta ucp does not give a shit about Edmonton or Calgary.
So have the senate and house do their jobs perhaps? Tariff and trade policy by executive order wasn’t legal in the first place.
Say what you will about Ford, but he truly understands the politics of alcohol, and this seems to be one of the few things that has managed to break through the US cloud of ignorance. If the US actually wanted to lift tariffs, they could do it right away, but congress has abdicated it’s responsibility, republicans and democrats alike, and then want to cry about how hard done by they are.
To all whining americans – get your country back on track and then we’ll talk
