Seit gestern erscheinen auf Twitter/X mehrere Beiträge, die Misstrauen zwischen Polen und Litauen, Lettland und Estland säen und darauf hinweisen, dass diese Länder im Europäischen Parlament gegen die Verurteilung der UPA gestimmt haben und Polen gegenüber unfreundliche Staaten sind. In Wirklichkeit unterstützten praktisch alle baltischen Europaabgeordneten, mit Ausnahme von einem von elf Litauern, die Resolution in ihrer milderen Form.
Es gibt auch Gerüchte über eine angebliche Zusammenarbeit Litauens, Lettlands und Estlands mit den Deutschen im Zweiten Weltkrieg. Obwohl das Phänomen bis zu einem gewissen Grad real war, handelt es sich hierbei um ein sehr komplexes Stück Geschichte, und die frühere gewaltsame Besetzung des Baltikums durch die UdSSR war hier ein entscheidender Faktor. Das bedeutet NICHT, dass Litauen, Lettland und Estland feindlich gegenüber Polen eingestellt sind. Tatsächlich gibt es sehr enge Verbündete unseres Landes mit umfassender Verteidigungskooperation.
Ich fordere alle auf, alle auf Twitter/X und anderen sozialen Medien gefundenen Informationen über diese Länder gründlich zu überprüfen oder den Konsum politischer Inhalte aus diesen Quellen vollständig einzustellen. Russland und seine Verbündeten in Polen, die scheinbar Überstunden machen, dürften dieses Thema in den kommenden Tagen intensiv beschäftigen. Einige aktive Streitigkeiten zwischen Polen und Litauen/Lettland werden möglicherweise übertrieben und zur Sprache gebracht, wie zum Beispiel das Thema der polnischen Schulen in Litauen oder des Dom Polski in Daugavpils, Lettland, das derzeit in finanziellen Schwierigkeiten steckt.

The friendship between the Polish and Baltic peoples has stood for centuries. Russia always has tried to divide us, but our unity is unbreakable.

I don’t think many Poles would consider the Baltics hostile. It might bring rather confusion why did they do this. Unlike what may be sometimes seen in the internet, most of Poles know what’s geopolitically important now and try to convince Ukrainians to stop supporting anti-Ukrainian narratives, but their government is stubborn.
I think it’s hard to manipulate as if the Baltics where against when the voting results will be wide in the media, but sure, Russian trolls have to fight for every niche

It’s honestly scary how easily people believe misinformation. The entire source of the Baltics apparently being against us in the EP is a twitter post of a right wing influencer Sławomir Dębski who cited anonymous German MEP as a source, and half of the Polish political internet (including some actual politicians, like Krzysztof Bosak of far right Konfederacja) believed him without questions.
There is obviously some cynical D&C game going on there but unfortunately I feel like the main problem is that the older people especially were never taught how to catch misinformation on the internet.
What would an actual conflict between Poland and the Baltics even look like, realistically? Some jeering at volley-ball tournaments? Review-bombing gas stations? Refusing to sell each others‘ pickles?

You are confusing couple thinks. The vote you present is for the whole motion, of which condemnation of UPA is a very small part. You should check votes for the amendments that were adding the condemnation
