    1. And yet, calories increased on the smaller/newer pack. Did they also sneak in some dodgy ingredients too?

Do you know what else continues? Growth.

Growth must continue at all costs. The shareholders MUST see a return. What are we doing if we’re not paying dividends? We exist to create shareholder value.

Employee satisfaction must not be considered – too expensive.

      Customer satisfaction- too costly.

Cut quality. Cut quantity. Cue Dividends.

Have a look at a Snickers next time you’re in a shop. Genuinely about 3 of the celebration box Snickers. They’re tiny. Changed them again about 3 weeks ago.

    4. We really need another sub for posts like these. Every day this sub is just filled to with pictures of the price of things.

I work at the beginning of the production cycle, Pet and rPET is up 30% in the past few months. Aluminium nearly 50%. It absolutely sucks for us consumers but when every component is increasing at such levels the price increases are nowhere near the increase in raw materials.

The rolo yoghurts are now half the size of what they were. There is barely a mouthful in them!

As long as people keep buying the brands they will keep increasing their prices.

I started shopping in Lidl about 2 years ago and I buy all their own brand stuff, which has also increased in price. But I’ll be fucked if they expect me to spend double the money on half the product.

They reference the war, increasing raw materials etc etc. It’s all horseshit. It’s for the shareholders and stock price. Fine by me, but I refuse to support it

It’s so subtle. Shower gel is practically water as it is.

Quality is getting worse too and prices are going up.

      The evidence is good OP.

My foundation which isn’t cheap is definitely less full than last time, feels like more air in it

What’s the deal with the shower gel? It says made in UK on it, but 16.9 fl oz (imperial) is 480.18ml whereas 16.9 fl oz (US) is 499.79ml.

      Confusing.
