Map heavily downplays Albanians (most notably in Kosovo, Western Macedonia and Çamëria) and is overall in opposition with contemporary sources in a multitude of locations, such as downplaying the ethnic minorities in Turkey, downplaying Kurds, overplaying Bulgarian presence in Eastern Serbia (Torlaks were mostly Serbianized by the late 19th century and start of the 20th), completely removing Turks from western Thrace, etcetera.
I don’t think it’s a political map however, these mistakes seem too random to be intentional.

The Welsh speaking heartland of Wales is pretty much the same now but it’s definitely been superseded by English in the Valleys of south Wales where I’m from. Both my grandfathers spoke Welsh as a 1st language but my grandmothers didn’t so the continuity was broken, as it was for many in South Wales.
