Oh now, we are back to buying it, when he said the US is owed/deserves it?

It seems to me that this man is completely incapable of anything remotely like leadership; I believe he has been the worst decision American voters have *ever* made. Regarding Greenland, whatever his wishes are, they cannot be fulfilled within his alloted time as President, so… placate the fool until his limited time is complete.

Does anyone know how this would work in practice?
Would the people living in Greenland become US citizens? Would they get representation in Congress? Would they keep their public healthcare system and, if not, how would the transition to the US model be managed? Same question for local government, etc.

What about the plan to release the Unredacted Epstein Files, as they were ordered by the court to do?

Well you saved $200b in Iran reparations so might as well spend it elsewhere.

Both Denmark and Greenland have made it beyond unequivocally clear it is not an option, and that the ceaseless pressure and unprecedented military threats against allies is completely unacceptable. This is hostility. Yet the sanewashing continues.

Greenland should be controlled by the US, trade with Spain „has been suspended,“ the ceasefire with Iran is no longer valid because they are „scum,“ what else has he said during the summit? This is like a soap opera.

I think it would be sensible for all parties to agree on an east west partition and sell the western part to the US. It would secure the national security concerns that the US arguably has. Europe would retain access to the side that is relevant for their security. And the unity of NATO could be saved by solving the issue through a deal that both sides can be happy with.
Completely ignoring the Greenland situation would be very unwise for Europe imo. US national security concerns in Greenland are very real and are much bigger than ours there. If NATO ends, then the US will have little other choice than to secure their access to Greenland by force.

He needs to distract from that disaster that he started in Iran somehow doesn’t he?

“Trump revives (the nothingburger) plan to distract you from talking about more important, real topics”.
It was his decoy when he started the US-Iran war and now he is using it again. He knows it’s not gonna happen, but he also knows these headlines will replace others.

The whole „buy Greenland“ saga is back, just in time for everyone to roll their eyes in unison. First term it was weird enough, but coming back for round two after they’ve already told you no multiple times is something else.
Treating a sovereign territory with 56,000 people like it’s a timeshare you can haggle over is pretty rich. The Danes aren’t going to fold just because you keep asking, and Greenland’s own government has been pretty clear about wanting to chart their own path eventually.
The practical questions in the thread are actually the interesting bit. You can’t just flip a switch on citizenship, healthcare, congressional representation. It would be a years long constitutional mess even if everyone wanted it, which they emphatically do not.
At some point you have to wonder if this is actual policy or just a way to keep a certain segment of the base fired up. Feels more like a recurring bit than a serious geopolitical strategy.
