      All but one of these is lower than the NFL salary cap. Which almost every team spends every last ounce of. And if there wasn’t a salary cap, it would shatter these at least twice over

      Also, the Argentina number is a bit misleading. Yes, Messi’s salary with Miami is $25 million base and $28.3 million guaranteed, but he gets equity rights in Inter Miami CF, which are deferred until he retires. Messi’s total package—combining his playing salary, franchise revenue, and the valuation of his future ownership shares—is worth between $70 million and $80 million per year.
