Die ganze Welt feuerte Ihr Team an, zeigte jedes einzelne Tor und sah es so an, als wäre es weit mehr als nur ein normales Spiel, als wäre es ein Kampf um die Integrität des Sports selbst.
Nichts gegen die US-Spieler. Aber nach dem korrupten Unsinn, den wir diese Woche mit Donald Trump und der roten Karte gesehen haben, kommt der politische Zirkus um dieses Spiel. Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte hat ein Präsident eines Landes im Fußball solche Schikanen begangen.
Trump gab bereits den Grundstein für das Narrativ, indem er behauptete, wenn Belgien gewinne, sei das Spiel verloren "manipuliert.“ Wtf.
Aufgrund dieser politischen Gedankenspiele hätte ein knapper 1:0- oder 2:1-Sieg nicht ausgereicht. Ein Elfmeterschießen hätte ihnen nur Raum für Fouls gegeben und für mehr Toxizität gesorgt. Wir brauchten einen endgültigen, unbestreitbaren Abriss und das belgische Team lieferte einen 4:1 Supersieg genau das, was die Welt sehen musste.

The sport died when fifa reversed its red card decision. They should have stood their ground.
