I mean road safety in Helsinki is weird they removed pedestrian crossings because cars wouldn’t follow the traffic law. I mean sure we can make things safer by making it harder to walk.

Accessibility is prioritised in Finland, something which is not always true in other countries. This in turn makes it easier for everyone to use public transport, because the need for a car is far less when everything is so accessible, e.g. for the visually impaired, the elderly, or people with prams.
