      Surely us being knocked out in the World Cup on July 4, after losing men’s hockey to the US in the Olympics, were enough of a present?

      Well the maple trees are a very nice gift. The equivalent of a bouquet of flowers you offer as a gift to an older cousin on their birthday. As long as they’re not Norwegian maples. 😉

      To help Hoekstra celebrate we should shine some red, white and blue lights directly into his bedroom window and have a big street party outside his residence long into the night.
