Never heard of that. No idea if you can trust the guy to get your money back. If it is legit, the owner certainly wants to avoid visitors with no intention to rent.
Simply don’t go. It is safer.

    4. Some restaurants ask for credit card deposit upfront during the reservation, which I don’t like but understand. This is to avoid that people are simply not showing up, and money is in any case refunded if the potential tenant does not like the apartment. So to me it does not sound necessarily a scam, although pretty unusual. Real estate tourism is a national sport in Luxembourg.

    5. Like everyone else said it already, it’s an obvious scam.

They never charge you for a visit. It’s in their best interest not to.

    6. What’s the name of the agency?

Looks only on athome, don’t think they have scammer on it.

    7. I don’t know if it’s normal, but even if it was I’d tell them to fuck off.

    9. What if you visit and like it but don’t get it? Is the money still refundable?
