      Deeply disappointing to witness the EU’s tech illiteracy and its susceptibility to lobbying from companies like Palantir and their friends.

      I am also ashamed of my country’s MEPs, but tbh, I didn’t expect any better from them. The bar is set far too low anyway.

      How are they even allowed to vote on VERY important and serious things like this with….idk a majoirity of MEP:s missing on vacation etc? Pretty f*cked up. They should not be allowed to sneak sh*t like this when it comes to subjects like these.

      This article is literally wrong. Don’t be fooled people. Netherlands did NOT vote for this. Author is trying to skew facts for engagement. The reality is more nuanced than how it’s framed here

      The Dutch AIVD literally advised against it because it would be a major national security concern if encryption would become weaker.

      And these people are more worried about being able to read our messages.. Like… Wtf..

      EU changed in the last years for the worst. I don’t know what happened and where it happened, but it feels worse and worse every year.

      I feel like all they do lately is anti-consumerism and on top of that is this and we’re becoming a small USA with all the shitty lobbying. Not enough people go to vote and it seems like those who do, are always voting for the weird people. Oh well.

      This is becoming quite a bit treasonous.

      Why? Because the public, via petitions, and all else, clearly expressed their desire for this to NOT GO THROUGH.

      Then why is it that our representatives insist doing stuff that we signaled we do not want? Because, via CORRUPTION and lobbying(corruption but a different word), they end up pushing for something we do not want?

      Well who are they representing? Us or big business?

      This is so dissapointing i am less and less suprised people seek solace in the far right and left, i am becoming more pessimistic in the EU, they do good and then just sour it all with this
