1/ Female Russian convict soldiers are complaining that the Russian military has reneged on their contracts. Instead of being pardoned after completing their military service, they say, they will now be sent back to jail.

Then the army offers to recruit them for the military again in return for a pardon.

      >9/ However, she says that on 10 June 2026, battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Ramazan Mutalipov announced that after completing the Special Military Operation, the female convicts who were still fit for military service would be returned to correctional facilities.

      >10/ They will continue serving their sentences, and participation in combat operations has only suspended their sentences, not terminated them completely.

      >11/ Poltarakova was instructed to convey this information to the other women in the unit, and it was later confirmed by the deputy commander for military-political work, call sign “Intern,” and the acting deputy chief of staff, call sign “Rostov.”

      >12/ She says that continuing her military service is pointless in these conditions: “It turns out that we all shed our blood in vain and put our lives in danger in vain.”

      >13/ **She has filed a report requesting that the contract be terminated** and that she be returned to the correctional facility to continue serving her sentence if the promised expungement of her criminal record is not actually fulfilled.

      >14/ It’s highly unlikely that the request will be granted; judging by the treatment of male convicts, it’s likely that she and her comrades will be used for frontline service until they are either dead or too badly injured to continue.

Russian military will never let her return. They can’t be trusted.

There also lots of stories of the Army renaging death payments, end of contract dates keeping people on the front line, and even pay.

    5. Alright guys, here’s the plan. Let’s take a bunch of tough women, give them hope to earn their freedom, teach them to use weapons and how to kill, arm them, and then betray them after using them as cannon fodder. What could go wrong?

      I’m shocked.

Shocked to find that Russia is reneging on a promise.

    7. Aaah traditional-values-Russia; you can always scam women a step worse than men.

    8. The collapse of Russia can not come soon enough. The hate and disregard to their own subjects, plus stealing billions every year from them, just asks for a total upheaval and purge of the elite class.

This is incredibly pointless. Russia needs the labour power, not overstuffed prisons, and yeah, these people are criminals, but most of the people signed in were for minor offences and good behaviour.

This is simply going to cause a wave of desertions where convicts dodge out while they can.
