    1. [I posted this yesterday.](https://www.reddit.com/r/UkrainianConflict/comments/1ujwfwr/ukrainian_missile_attack_on_russias_capital/) It seems Russia is confirming yesterday’s attack on Moscow was by a ballistic missiles, as was speculated.

The missile didn’t hit anything important, so it may well have been intercepted. This was likely a test of the new missile. This is fantastic news though, soon we may well see ballistic missile attacks on Moscow like we’ve seen on Kyiv.

    2. Unless their interception rate on the missle is high one getting intercepted isn’t a big deal.

Russia confirming anything must be taken with a grain of salt. Doubt they intercepted anything other than an apartment building

    4. >Russia confirms intercept of new Ukrainian ballistic missile

„Russian intercept“ = hard strike on high value target

*Tovarisch, we intercepted that Ukrainian terrorist missile with one of our not-terrorist missile factories!*

      Fuck Russia
      Slava Ukraini

You can test a ballistic missile by launching at a field or empty patch of sea, or you can test it by launching at a legitimate target and maybe get through.

Either way, your spending the money for a test launch. Might as well make Russia use an interceptor or two in the process.

Yeah, they intercepted it with an oil refinery. The oil refinery was used to block the ballistic missile from it’s real target.

lol, yeah, bullshit. Russia can’t intercepted drones made in someone’s garage.

    8. So that image with the white puff of smoke is not a ballistic intercept. No trail after the hit. The missile would be moving so fast that the trajectory would be indicated by the debris trail. No debris trail.

    9. Russia’s missile defense is so degraded, Ukraine can use cheaper missiles and most of them will still get through.
