“By category, processed foods topped the list with 1,084 items, followed by bread products with 1,078 items.”

I just asked a random number generator and I’m sure that 2147 items will see prices hikes in August. See you again next month 😎

See more blaming foreigners for whatever because the government cannot do anything about increases and need to show they are doing something.

A list would have been useful… but I guess I’ll notice next time I go groceries (and cry in a corner)

The next time the Japanese government intervenes to strengthen the yen, I’m buying as much USD as I reasonably can.

Those interventions tend to be temporary, and the yen often weakens again over time.

At this point it’d be easier to just list the items which aren’t increasing in price every month

This has boosted my morale by -444.44%.

Probably time to watch some more cats wrestling ferrets videos. At least we have those. For now.

This is basically processed food. A lot of fresh food hasn’t changed that much. Cabbage and spinach can often be found for around ¥100. It’s time to go to your supermarket instead of the convenience store and start eating healthier.
