Isn’t the FA required to be politically independent? Does the government need to get explicitly involved
This is probably the most I’ve ever seen Koreans freak out about a sporting event before lol… Hopefully this serves as a catalyst for real meaningful change. Personally I would nominate Son’s father to run the KFA… He has been saying for years how badly our youth lack fundamentals and how we aren’t even close to being on the same level as Japan when it comed to youth development. The question of the KFA and its corrupt practices has persisted for years. Nothing was done about it, despite so many calls for reforms, until this team made a fool of themselves and the nation on the international stage. Now the world press is on them; finally, the sh*t hits the fan.

That the FIFA approved national football governing bodies are supposed to be autonomous, and the moment that the government (or any 3rd party) starts interfering into the FA, FIFA will ban that FA.
Fuck it, at this point our FA being banned for a few years would be better in the long run if it means a better FA can take its place.
