    1. His greed costed everything and new future manager’s going to be left with the ruin HMB left behind. I wouldn’t be surprised if SK plays badly in the Asian Cup next year

    2. Good. What a horrible waste of talent and money. Hope his naengmyeon is always too warm.

This public lynching is unwarranted. Stop blaming the coach. The players were the ones on the field, and it starts with the captain.

Son has been terrible for a while – I’ve been watching every LAFC game. 0 goals in 13 MLS games this year. And MLS is a retirement league. Meanwhile Messi has scored 12 MLS goals in 10 games this year.

Blaming the coach is a lame excuse to avoid personal responsibility. These players have been professionals for many years at the highest levels, and should have been able to score 1 goal with me as their coach (and I have never coached)

Entire team looked like they were at practice even in the one game they won.

Yeah the coach shoulders a lot of the blame but the entire team looked absolutely pathetic out there.

    5. Seems like Ive been out of the loop but I always remembered HMB as the part of legendary 2002 squad so there is part of me that feels pity for a second but to see all he has done/hasn’t done is a stain on our soccer history and his career.

    6. They need to take away his business first class airplane tickets then. What a waste of human being and a leader.

At this point he will legit be safer in North Korea than South Korea I’m afraid…

Ah the good ole step down after it’s all over for Korea in World Cup. Fact of matter is Korea is still out of World Cup and incompetence still runs deep in Korean Football League administration

    9. Why aren’t there Korean students studying football management and tactics like they do for other studies?

I hope the board; 이임생 and 정몽규 steps down as well. I think they are the main reason why the KFA is a mess. Absolute disgrace that they are still in charge after this.

Too little too late. Should have never been hired in the first place. All the damage is already done.

I remember what he achieved as a legendary player and also the early years as a coach such as coaching the national team to the quarter finals in the 2009 U20 World Cup, then 3 years later securing the Bronze medal in the 2012 Olympics. Even winning back to back titles with Ulsan. I thought this second chance after 2014 would work especially after the win against Czech Republic, but the performances went downhill, especially after the media situation.

As a Korean-Australian myself, I don’t know whether to feel pity or just laugh when Korean people get outraged and need to find a scapegoat.

Although I can proudly say we are not a bunch of whingers (I have the Australian side of me for that) this need to place someone’s head on a stick is so laughable and pathetic. Bloody bunch of peasants.

Who hired Hong? It was their fault, go blame them. And I am aware of the corruption, it exists from the bottom up in Korean society.

It’s like hiring a blind uber driver and then blaming him when he crashes.
