The development site of „The Line“ city in Saudi Arabia is large enough to see from space! A distinct artificial streak can be seen center image if you look closely, stretching left to right between the Red Sea and desert. I took this photo on Expedition 72 to the ISS during a daytime pass over the region.

Or they were looking for something?
Dressed it up as a desert super structure and they could look in plain sight

One to the dumbest construction project in history.
There’s a good chance. This is hubris and no common sense

100 years from now someone on whatever the History channel is then claiming it’s obviously a runway for aliens.

Lol. If you zoom in you can see only a small section on the left has been escavated to it’s full width. The rest of the „line“ is barely wider than a road (which btw are also visible in this zoomed in satelite picture)

Is it just me ? I find the concept pretty awesome, futuristic and groundbreaking.
Jokes aside, maybe that’s what we need, a different concept of life that may rearrange the needs and way of life in a coordinated way instead of the randomness we have today.
Sorry English is not my native language and it may be hard to explain but I find this concept one of the greatest ideas ever.
Hope I can see at least in a documentary, and at least a small section of it actually functioning as intended.

They should’ve started small, something like „The Dot“

Whatever ultimately happens with The Line, future satellite images are going to make this look like the start of some lost civilization’s most ambitious ruler-straight road.
