What about people napping at their desks in the morning? 🤔

This is just another way of saying long-term sleep deprivation is bad for you

I used to fall asleep on the train and miss my stop! Turns out I had a sleep disorder. Get the apnea screening (this may save your life) and if that’s negative you may have further testing.

The title shows that you don’t understand scientific studies or medicine.
The cohort in the scientific study had an average age of 80 years old, and the study specifically said morning naps for this group were not merely fatigue, but likely an indication of serious health problem worsening.
The salarymen you see napping on the train are far younger than 80 and almost certainly their napping is specifically the result of work fatigue and not underlying medical condition.

I misread this at first. I thought it said “people who see you napping on the train and subway in the morning appear to have a 30% higher mortality rate.”
I was like, “that’s a peculiar way to say that taking a nap is good for you!”

I’ll be sure to wake them up and let them know.
