Can’t say that this is a shock.
Felt like the family were being urged to release updates in the weeks and months afterwards to keep a lid on things but reading between the lines they were never overly positive.
Our mental health system doesn’t allow for people to be sectioned. This lunatic should not have been allowed to roam the streets. This child’s life has been destroyed. Our mental health services pretend that they care, that they want to treat people within the community, its all bullshit to save money on taking responsibility for people who are a danger to themselves and more importantly others.

He should be charged with murder because he has essentially killed that girl and the life she could have had. Paralysis, severe brain damage requiring 24 hour care for the rest of her life? Absolutely zero quality of life for her

I just can’t imagine the suffering, daily, with such a severe brain impairment, probably not able to understand what happened, barely able to move, to communicate, can’t understand questions… who can say how she suffers inside? Facing another 80 years of that, as her life? An innocent little girl experiencing all of that, daily? Just thinking about it kills me.
