Less competition for the miners who actually manage to stay online

All the processing power is going to data centres instead innit.

No surprise. Every bull has a new ATH for hash rate, it’s part of the concept.

The hashrate seems to correlate with the price. Hardly surprising.

Bitcoin doesn’t need this much security anyway. The competition is with AI now for a better return on power consumption which will keep the hashrate in check and a lot flatter going forward. This is ultimately a good thing as realistically we could get by with 1/2 to 1/4 the hashrate. It will just depend on the delta between AI returns per kWh vs BTC mining (they will be in constant flux).
