All the country is a zoo. You’re welcome.
I’d recommend avoiding them all. Most of them are run by shady people. What you can do if you’d like to learn about local wildlife is visit a natural reserve like the one at Għadira, Tas-Simar or is-Salini. I’m not sure what state the bird park is in after the explosion that there was close by.
Just as a comment noting the picture, the National Aquarium is ethical as a technical operation in terms of animal welfare and care. Some of the owners, assuming they’re still the same, have other businesses (Cafe del Mare, hotel(s) and tuna ranches) – which is a different issue.
Source: I worked there previously and hold a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Marine Biology.

Just kidding its a nightmare
There’s the aquarium in qawra but its small. Other than that. There’s not really any wildlife here except for some snakes, a weasel, mice, reptiles and birds. And they are all rare to see.
