Pretty cool picture, thanks.
There was a group of very talented communist(but unfortunately many were of the Tankie variety) musicians/songwriters/composers who were heavily influenced by the New Song movement. Some of the material is still stone cold bangers, but others are extremly cringy. The music is nowdays known as Taistolaislaulut after Taisto Sininalo the leader of the minority (tankie) faction of the Finnish communist party, even not all the groups were in that faction.
The flagship song is probably Kenen joukoissa seisot? [Who do you stand with?]

Cool picture.
It’s also always interesting to see a city develope from old pictures, here Hotel Strand hasn’t been built yet behind Metallitalo, and I think the building next to Elanto-building has been torn down and rebuilt.
