      SS: Iran has announced plans to introduce a system of maritime fees in the strait of Hormuz in two months, after the 60-day period of negotiation that has been triggered by the signing of the memorandum of understanding.

      Tehran, claiming a historic victory over the US, said the strait was under its control and a European plan for a naval mission to escort ships though the strait would not be welcome.

      Guessing this will set a precedent for any country with a strait/sea corridor to start charging fees?

      I get that other countries didn’t want to get involved in the mess that US made but after the MoU signing and „peace“ can Iran just charge fees with no repercussions? Or will countries start looking for alternatives?

      The best part? The “deal” Trump just signed is exactly how things were in 2016-17

      It’s like letting the genie out of the box by our Allauddin trump. Only thing different is now the genie will make all its own wishes come true.

      It just goes to show humans are doomed there are no good intentions and only was we can live is brewing conflicts.

      There was no need to make this statement at this nth hour of returning peace

      I don’t think US has the face to reignite the conflict, instead it will now empower the gulf countries by selling them weapons

      Get ready for a larger conflict or war in the coming years where only country making money will be US without spending.
