    1. And this may well have killed the special session for 2028 redistricting to boot as well.

can we have more of this please

(thank you for your attention to this matter)

    3. Are we going to get a deluge of news articles proclaiming how Trumps grip on the party is slipping?

      FYI for Governor Voting turnout.

      Republican: 933,696 +1500 estimate remaining
      Democrat: 1,081,038 + 6500 estimated remaining

I demand a recount! I think there has to be some fraud, since the MAGA candidate lost, and I expect lawsuits and court filings, harassment and intimidation, and ultimately a coup up/until things are made right/wrong.

    6. Rick Jackson is by far a bigger Trump fluffer than Burt Jones. If you think this is a win somehow, it’s not.

      Trump is toxic.

He should campaign heavily for Republicans this fall

Unfortunately Rick Jackson will also be happy to gargle Trump’s balls, Burt was just first in line

The other choice is still ass: a billionaire who donated a mil to Trump and calls equality „communism.“

It isn’t as much of a win as the article acts.

Normal people are sick of all the blame and complaining and brutality of this entire administrations philosophy of governance. Good riddance.

Rick Jackson is also a Trump lover who is coincidentally a billionaire. Both choices were dog shit. You got fake elector Burt Jones and billionaire healthcare Trump loving Rick Jackson.

At least I can get more Rick Jackson ads about Mongolians stealing my culture.

      > The defeat marks a rare setback for Trump’s endorsement power in a deep-red state.

Rare for now, but we’ve seen this before when his picks flop in competitive races. He’ll claim it was rigged or that the candidate was weak, but at some point the pattern isn’t bad luck, it’s that his instincts don’t translate to electability.

But his Senatorial pick won, so I guess GOP Georgians are fine inflicting MAGA on other people, but not so much for themselves. Sounds right on brand.

Wish the winner was an improvement. He is not, he’s a white-wing trumpster, and trump hedged his endorsement while praising the winner.

    15. What’s so funny is jackson admitted to doing illegal shit to survive, ticket scalping, In his campaign ads. Yet seems to have it out for any other people that do what they need to to survive

Don’t let anyone make you believe your vote doesn’t matter and elections are rigged. We need to vote

    17. Oh great, a MAGA pick losing to a literal billionaire GOP instead. Really picking from the best. /s

Okay, but Keisha Lance Bottoms? Is she a strong candidate? I feel like Georgia Democrats had a way stronger candidate in Stacey Adams. I can see why she doesn’t need to run a third time in a row. Can anyone speak to Bottoms‘ strengths? I don’t think she was particularly compelling as Atlanta mayor.
