We first thought it was an exercise since no alarm went off. We left the building when we saw a lot of firetrucks entering the parking lot.

Update: apparently there was no leak. It was an issue with the alarm
who smelt it dealt it
You are alowed to have a leak up to 6 liters per hour (must be fixes asap tho) annything bigger is called dangerous
Thats why your gas tech always must go check the gasmeter however unconvienient

The alarm wont go off by scent if the place is well ventilated so maybe instead of relying on the detectionsistem with gasklep witch shuts down flow when detecting gas in air go for a slagbreukbeveiliging witch detects the loss of pressure but even this will mallfunction if its callibrated with the leak
At last there is this thing called a gasstop, a valve that shuts down flow when the velocity exceeds te norm
just get them all, especialy in a school
