Poland is constantly building up its military capabilities, unlike others didn’t solely depend on Uncle Sam the past one or two decades, but invested to make itself safe.
Poland is on track to be able to absolutely hold its own against any russian attack.
The US troops being there does not affect this path, rather it bolsters Poland’s security and NATO cohesion.
Why not both?
There is no reason to get Americans to leave? Does is prevent our armed forces from growing?
Just until we get some nukes of our own… the troops act as a trigger to bring the US into any conflict and thus their nuclear shield.
You really can’t turn down yanks troops with the Russian empire at your door. Risk benefit analysis says it’s worth all the heartache
Isn’t South Korea already building a large number of military production facilities anyway? If Korean defense companies want to sell weapons to Europe and NATO countries, they may have no choice but to sell weapons manufactured in Poland.
This is not mutually exclusive. We can host US troops and build our military capabilities in parallel.
It basically means we should expand military infrastructure which is spread too thin at the moment. Wheather to host US troops, other NATO allies or our own expanding army

There are two upsides, and two downsides to that.
upsides
1. It locks even current Epstein administration with Poland safety. It will limit the freedom of action of both Russia as well USA.
2. This administration will pass, MAYBE there will be more reasonable in future. And Poland will have this us units located here for good.
downsides
1. It weakens the european alliance.
2. it will cost us, Poland, a fuckon of cash.
3. it allows USA to play with threats to relocate the troops.
And exactly we should be prepared for US troops leaving we should have a permanent base. Because it’s much more difficult for the US to abandon a permanent base.

And I’m pretty sure that PO/KO government is in secret exploring all possibilities, including being ghosted by orange ape. They’re not that blindly in love with US bribes as the opposition.
I lived in a garrison town full of Soviet soldiers. They murdered our local parish priest and were accused of several sexual assaults against the locals. It took the USSR collapsing in the aftermath of their Afghanistan adventure for the Red Army to finally leave. Are we really replacing one permanent foreign set of troops for another without so much as questioning the consequences? As a member of the U.S. military with a Polish spouse and large Polish family, I’m super happy about this and hope it affords me more opportunity to be stationed in Poland.
