    1. My friend was invited to wedding in UK, he said that he had to pay for everything

    2. Eat main courses first before you decide to go for the snacks. Chances are you’ll barerly even fit all the main dishes.

      Sure!

In the beginning, you likely got served a clear, yellow-ish soup with some noodles. That’s „Rosół“, basically a chicken broth. For reasons unknown to me, the one served at weddings tends to be shit compared to homemade ones, even though it’s like the easiest soup to make (unless you’re trying to make it super-premium)

In the picture I see some salands, those I can’t identify.

There are some tortillas, that’s not anything traditionally polish, it’s just a tortilla

I see people eating some non-clear soup and I’m guessing it’s either „żurek“, a soup based on sour, fermented rye, usually made with pieces of smoked sausage, bakon and/or pork ribs.

It could also be „grochówka“, based on peas, also with sausage.

On one plate I see what looks like Chicken Kiev (in Poland known as De Volaille), which is a chicken roll with butter inside.

I never thought about it like that. For me it was always a normal thing

    5. well. It’s common practice to pay it back in gifts (usually money in envelope)

Have to have something to soak up the vodka, which is weirdly missing from your side of the table.

    7. I like the cheese board but it looks light on meats and only one vodka bottle on the table 6/10

As a Greek living in Poland and having attended a Polish wedding, my question is this. Where is the vodka? Cause on the wedding I attended vodka was everywhere
