Good old use the kids as an excuse to take away rights and monitor civilians. You know as a Turkish immigrant I can tell you, Erdogan used this same excuse 10-12 years ago. Now there’s prison time for questioning the government. Good luck everybody.

Has this guy ever been online? Does he know how monetization works? These kids are a major component of streaming services. They’re part of the viewers. Their engagmebet is part of the money coming in. You cannot seperate the money made off of kids attention vs protecting kids at the same time. It’s a contradiction in terms. The reason big tech doesn’t want this isn’t because they couldn’t implement it, or that they’re worried about data breach. They just don’t want the next quarter to be lower.
