Why simply cool data centers on earth with the water we have here when we can spend shit loads of money sending the data centers to space where it is infinitely more difficult to do ANYTHING. Sure that’s smart and it solves… what problem?

Can’t wait to see the future of SPCX. They’ve already achieved so much.

Satellite engineers: it’s hard to dump heat in space, hardware needs to be radiation hardened, impossible to service, vulnerable to solar flares.
Data center engineers: technicians need access and they do a lot to keep the system going, once it is in space it won’t work. EM transmission latency and bandwidth will be massive challenges.
IPO vibe merchants: pixie dust non-existence benefits, cool and easy.
