    1. Mexico is a better team and they are playing at home with a very passionate fan base. I think draw is a win for Korea.

A loss is quite likely, but getting to the next stage is what’s important.

Historically, South Korea rarely won against Mexico in previous WC matches, aside from friendlies. Either a draw or scrappy goal from Mexico to win the game. This is purely a statistical point of view. But then again, South Korea really struggles to play against CONCACAF play style football nations like Mexico.

    4. Mexico’s starting CB is out of the match because of his red card, so perhaps their defense will be lacking a little bit.

I think draw is a great result but wouldn’t be surprised with a win. Definitely no loss cause Czechia looked great against us so they can also draw or beat Mexico and have a great result against South Africa as SA will be missing two starters.

We will probably lose. But still able to make it to 32 as 2nd (hopefully)

Don’t expect our midfield will dominate mexico like they did vs czech. Mexicans pressures the ball until 90 min. They have great stamina. A draw is a win for korea. But a loss is most likely the outcome as we don’t know how to defend against transitions which mexicans can exploit.

    7. We almost certainly make it out of the group anyway. Getting past the first round will be hard though

    8. We just need to get out of the group. I’m okay with a loss for now so long as it isn’t an embarrassment.

Mexico didn’t play that well against SA. I believe we can top the group.

Mexico are heavy favorites. Better team + host nation buff. A tie is a win, a loss is quite likely, and a win would be a gift.

    11. Has a 2010 feel to it. Korea won the opening game that WC (I believe the only WCs Korea won their opener was 02, 10, and now 26), but then got plastered by a good Argentina team 1-4.

I believe something similar happens, Mexico wins probably 3-1.

And then just like 2010 I think Korea plays a really tight nervous match against South Africa (it was Nigeria then) and gets a draw for 4 points and advances, again like in ’10.

I think Mexico will either win or draw. We have faced Mexico twice in the World Cup and lost both times. We also have the home-ground advantage.

Who is „we“? I don’t have any idea how you feel about it. I feel absolutely nothing at all.

    14. I’m Mexican, but I wish your team the best. It’s definitely a must watch for me.

    15. Finishing 2nd in the group will mean playing next round in California (for those near Inglewood will be happy), and facing the 2nd place in Group B. I think they counting on Mexico to finish 1st in the group, as 1st in group A plays next round in Mexico City, and winner of that match plays the following round of 16 match in Mexico City as well.

No matter who wins, I hope the two countries remain good friends.

We are up against the lot especially Mexico being the home team and the stadium being in the high elevation. I’m still not sold on tactics (or lack there of) from Hong. Also, we have not beaten or even tied against Mexico in World Cup as we played them twice in the past (98 and 18). So chances seem slim and I’ll be happy with a draw, honestly

All the love from the Mexican community will be put aside on this one day, but I’m sure both sides will be doing their best! Probably the game to watch out of this group!

Mexico looks a bit better on paper, but it depends on how many korean idols are present in the stadium.

No Coreanos Hermanos for this one match..but a draw would be a goos result for both teams.
