In places like Ontario, Maine, or Nebraska I assume it’s just because secular Catholics are more likely to still say Catholic than secular Protestants right? Like if Catholics passed Protestants in terms of descendants in Ontario that must be very recent.

Even though Christians are only like 3% of Jordan’s population, the Christmas celebrations still go crazy here it’s pretty funny
Oh also yeah they’re majority Eastern Orthodox but it’s a 60-40 split iirc, the rest are Catholics for the most part (there are some Protestants too though)

In India, Roman Catholics are significantly more numerous than Protestants. Catholics make up the clear majority of the Indian Christian population, accounting for roughly 55% to 60% of all Christians in the country. In contrast, Protestants – which include various denominations like Baptists, Pentecostals, and the Church of South India (CSI) – represent about 40% to 45%.

Protestantism is not a denomination. There is no church. It is a group of denominations, with common core beliefs, but not one in and of itself.
Neither is „Eastern Orthodoxy“. It is a family, like Protestantism. Composed of Coptic Orthodox, Ethiopian Orthodox, Eritrean Orthodox, Syriac Orthodox, Malankara Orthodox, and Armenian Apostolic.

That shift to catholicism in newfoundland must be pretty recent
Province was protestant by a decent amount in the 2021 census and catholicism was declining quicker than the mainline protestant denominations… rapid secularization in younger protestants or disaggregation of protestants into their constituent denominations?

Isn’t he majority of christians in Estonia Orthodox now? Since most former Lutherans are irreligious, like what happened with the Netherlands and Germany that are Catholic in the map.

Wording is a bit unclear; does this mean if Anglican is 20% and Pentecostal is 20%, and Catholic is 21%, the country goes to Catholic, because it’s the biggest „denomination“? or Protestant because they have the most combined?

Ya, i aint buying this for Canada. Imma need those sources because the 2021 Census doesnt agree.
As well, Many in NL denounced the Catholic church after the whole kiddie-time in the orphanages..
From the Census
Provinces
Alberta: Catholic (19.9%)
British Columbia: Catholic (12.0%)
Manitoba: Catholic (21.2%)
New Brunswick: Catholic (40.2%)
Newfoundland and Labrador: Protestant (45.7%)
Nova Scotia: Catholic (25.7%)
Ontario: Catholic (26.0%)
Prince Edward Island: Catholic (34.4%)
Quebec: Catholic (53.8%)
Saskatchewan: Catholic (24.1%)
When you factor in the „dont identify“ it blows some of these numbers out of the water.
BC over 52% are not members of any church, the Yukon clocks in with a 59% no religion.

It’s mostly only Mormons who consider themselves Christians most other people do not. Their dogma is way too different it would be like calling Islam a Christian sect because they too believe Jesus was a prophet/important figure. Mormons believe in spiritual polygamy, also their god figure who was once a human according to them has multiple wives cause of course it does. Smith wrote it that way to justify their polygamous crap in some way. Joseph smith also was a known grave robbing racist pedo con man who started his cult in an attempt to legitimize his beliefs. The only reason it’s so big now is because of their quiver full crap and they threaten to completely cut off family members who want to leave which causes some people to pause.
