    1. It makes sense to bring them back. Falcon never seemed like he had the support of the party to shut things down. With the federal Liberals popular again and moving vack towards the Chretien/Martin wing again, the old BC Liberals will fit right in.

    2. It became very common for people to lazily hand wave the BC Liberals as a secret Conservative Party, but now that we have this new look Carney Liberal government in power federally, maybe people are being reminded that fiscally conservative Liberals are a thing, and maybe they’re finally understanding the political positioning of the BC Liberals.

The reality is that every leader prior to Falcon had associations with the Federal Liberals and there have always been plenty of Fed Liberals in the party, who are now politically homeless or increasingly unhappy to be voting for the other parties.

As the NDP struggle with governance and Conservatives get increasingly batshit crazy, fiscally conservative Liberals in BC must be looking at a federal government that is more akin to the old BC Liberals than ever with a great deal of nostalgia and fondness. As Carney’s fiscally conservative Liberals approach 50% in the polling, Liberals in BC have surely got to be feeling the time is right to bring the Liberals back in BC in a similar mold.

Their first step is to purge Kevin Falcon. I and mean purge. This guy does not get enough blame for the rise of the loonball BCCP.

      I really hope this happens…

The two main parties in BC have drifted to the poles. We badly need a credible centrist option.
