I’m not sure how many people would want to be deliberately mutated to become susceptible to external interference with their heart rhythms?
And yes, I realize that conventional pacemakers already introduce vulnerabilities to things like magnetic fields. But at least those are devices that can be ripped out, as opposed to a permanent changes to one’s own cells.
