    1. Ask. No law against it but it will surely make people feel uncomfortable if you put a camera up on their faces.

      It depends..

      Bikes, bicycles, no one cares

Motorbikes, this really depends, it they are those show off cool shiny ones, they want photgraphed. If they are those gathering to trade drugs and weapons, then dont take pictures of them.

    3. In principle, you are allowed to take photos in public areas, but some people may not like it.

In my opinion: Photos taken from a distance where people cannot be identified easily are ok, for close-ups ask permission. Most of them will probably say yes.

    4. The birds generally don’t care – as long as you don’t disturb them eating or threaten their young.

If you photograph a bird and someone just happens to be in the background – possibly out of focus anyway – that’s not much of an issue. But if the person is part of the image’s main subject (and in focus), that’s the point where you should ask for permission first. Even more so if children are involved.

Like, geese in the park with some blurry blobs in the background that might be people sitting in a bench – no problem. Children feeding bread to a duck – ask the parents first (and remind them that bread is bad for ducks!)
