Nice, but why? We do have Święto Wojska Polskiego on 15th of August

    2. We had flyovers here in the Netherlands as well when the first F-35’s arrived. They are useful for a few reasons:

      – Lets people hear the new sound. The F-35 sounds different than the F-16’s we had here previously and people used this for doing sound level measurements. Overall sound level in dBA does not always tell the entire story; the specific frequencies are different for various jets, and this makes for a good test to see if limits are not being exceeded.
      – Lets people see the new jet. You’ve paid for it with tax money, so you may as well see what you’ve bought 😉
      – Gets some attention to the armed forces. They were neglected by politicians here for decades, and a shiny new jet is better recruitment propaganda than getting a flyer in your mailbox 😉

The first one is the most practical point, and probably the reason they don’t want to combine it with other festivities like 15 August.
