keep an ear out for the clatter off all the brand new loose manholes

Only thing I noticed is the tactile studs next to pedestrian crossings on O’Connell Street in Dublin, that just so happen to be made of smooth steel. I am always surprised when I pass by them

St Patrick’s Street is the exact same, was done by a Spanish architect.
The stones used might suit Cádiz and Córdoba but down in Cork, it’s like a skating rink when it rains.

Can attest to this. Slipped and faceplanted on Townsend St today. My chin now has a chin of its own.

I thought it was just me untill recently, or my shoes, about a month or so ago, I completely went on my back, didnt hurt my back, but ankle was swollen could barely walk the next day. Ive now started to notice the slabs that are less slippery and what streets in city centre to avoid when it rains, some of the slippery ones arent even nice to look at

I’m glad it’s not just me. I do have balance issues anyway but I am not surprised everyone has a problem. They’re fecking lethal.

Come to cork lads but bring a helmet, parts of the city are like an ice rink. Designed by a Spanish architect that must not have known that it’s raining here 75% of the time.
