Ich habe mich eingehend mit der ganzen Geschichte befasst – von einer Papierfabrik im Jahr 1865 über 40 % des weltweiten Telefonmarktes bis hin zum Microsoft-Deal, der alles zerstörte. Das Innere "Brennende Plattform" Allein das Memo darüber zu lesen ist wahnsinnig.

Oulu was in huge role in Nokia’s success. Oulu was one of the company’s key R&D hubs, where many of its mobile technologies and handset designs were developed. Another was Salo. Oulu was called the Silicon Valley of Finland back in 90’s and 00’s.
The world’s first GSM call was also made in Oulu in 1991 by PM Harri Holkeri 1.7.1991.
Finnish GSM pioneers, including Matti Makkonen, helped develop the ideas that eventually led to SMS messaging, making Oulu one of the key cities of the mobile revolution. He is called „the father of text message“ (SMS).
