In Norway this is completely normal in the forest. We just stand there and make whiney noises in a dress in the middle of a swamp.

    2. Kom nå, kyrne, is coincidentally how I call my family for dinner at home.

    3. Its like the people who say they are descended from Ragnar Lothbrok, but in reality is some fat fuck from west virginia who liked Vikings

I have Norwegian grandparents , so it was always a lovely part of my life, and i still do some of the traditions around Christmas time, and the mid may holidays/observations . BUT! when the show vikings came out, so did this type of person, and it unfortunately has not let up( too each their own, but damn).

What scandic tradition is this supposed to depict? Sounds more like Sámi and karelian joiku.

That is the Swedish YouTuber Jonna Jinton.

      Nothing Norwegian about her.

    7. This is a mating call to attract polar bears. Totally normal sight in the Norwegian fauna 🧐

    8. When I’m browsing Facebook every now and then there will pop up random groups like „Norwegian heritage“ (made-up name) and they’re always full of weird Americans writing like the people depicted in this post, without fault. It strikes me as people who obsess over Japan and all Japanese things as mundane as they might be, but for Norway.

I’m Scottish and it infuriates me when American losers like these pretend to be from anywhere Scandinavian Celtic or German

    10. It’s the music that connects to them, and probably their underlying white supremacy mindset.

Let them cosplay. My hometown still has a Syttende Mai parade. They dress up. Eat lefse and meatballs. They’re just proud of their heritage. I think my grandparents wished they could go back and visit.

If I’m 9% broadly Scandinavian, does that mean I’m full Norwegian?

300,000 karma in 6 months? And what are these bots going to do with all that karma? Rule the world? Report the bot.

It’s so annoying that nowadays people so desperately want to be special

      And relevant

      It’s unbearable
