    1. And once again this is how the conservatives lose the folks in the middle… Last election was kneeling to Trump, next election it will be kneeling to the Albertan separatists. Slap the majority in the face to cozy up to the crazies imho

    2. Conservative leaders afraid to stand up against the separatists because they need their votes. Fucking cowards.

    3. ChronicMasterbatcher on

They might not be YOUR enemies Pierre, but they are enemies of Canada.

Tacit support from the Conservative leader is crazy. How hard is it to stand up for the bloody country you were elected to represent!?!

Mr PP loves to grandstand and rant over every little problem and issue in Canada but he is quick to put on the kid gloves when it comes to the separatists! Shameful!

Does Poilievre realise that if Alberta separates none of those people will be able to vote for him?

Also do those people realise that if Alberta separates none of them will be able to vote for anything ever again (with maybe the exception of things exclusively within Alberta)?

    6. Anyone pushing to break up the country, whether from quebec or alberta, is betting against Canada! Traitors!

And this’d be the reason for conservatives to lose next federal election.

    8. Blames the feds and yet his backbench were pushing junk like this not too long ago. Canada had 3 major pipeline projects under construction at that point, oil sands production was also at an all time high.

Meanwhile, one of the leaders of the separatist movement responded to Pierre’s speech with this,

      > “It’s obvious that Pierre Poilievre doesn’t understand the structure of Canadian federalism and how it continually is to the disadvantage of Alberta,” said Rath, who is the legal counsel for the Alberta Prosperity Project.

      > “Pierre is all about maintaining the structural inequities of federalism, and just coming here to mouth platitudes about federal policies being bad,” Rath added.

      > “As far as I’m concerned, it demonstrates that Pierre Poilievre is not coming to save us and he’s got nothing to say that any Albertan wants to hear.”

I guess the CPC is about to find out that the monster they helped create is no longer under their control.

    9. This is not surprising. Yesterday, on the Global News YouTube channel, Ben Mulroney was interviewing a „Republican Insider“ named Georganne Burke who referred to Canadians as „hair on fire“ people who constantly criticize Trump for making 51st state comments. Apparently, we don’t enjoy his hilarious sense of humour.

Flash back two years earlier, the very same Georganne Burke was interviewed as a delegate during the CPC convention. She was also an advisor to Andrew Scheer. There is another interview with her on The Agenda where she alleged all of Trumps alleged sex assault victims are liars. Disgusting Church Lady vibes.

The Republicans and CPC are really just the same party.

    10. They are our enemies. Threatening to break up our country. The worst kind of enemy. They have help from foreign countries, they are working to subvert us and make Canada weaker.

Daily reminder that actual Albertan separatism is a fringe cause opposed by the wide majority of Albertans. And it should be treated as such

This isn’t „we have different view points but we should be open and work together“

These are ignorant people who have been brainwashed and are treasonous. So they are not our enemies but lets not turn this into some kind of „there’s points on both sides“ conversation.

    13. A movement to destroy what has been built, funded by yanks…..yeah they are our friends little PP.

    14. He seems to misunderstand. A good chunk of the separatists want to separate just to hand Alberta and Canada’s oil wealth to the US. If that isn’t an enemy of Canada, what is?

    15. chadthundertalk on

Ah, so he’s still banging that „the LIBERALS have divided this country and I, who have apparently never made a positive impression on a single person who’s ever met me, will be the one to unite it“ drum, is he?

    16. friendly-techie on

As expected, the knives are out on this sub from all the ones who have already made up their mind. Did you even listen to the speech?

    17. Pierre’s ability to find new ways to repel Canadian voters is truly impressive.

    18. He’s setting it up for the CPC to „welcome them back“ after thir separation attempt fails.

No different than „very fine people“. He just wants their votes.

    19. I mean I actually agree. I don’t have any enemies, no matter how much our entire media ecosystem is designed and wielded to make me think I do. But Poilièvre is the worst possible spokesperson for this opinion. He has been fanning the flame of anger for years culminating with Fuck Trudeau flags and a trucker convoy paralyzing a city, only to walk with those people who were calling for the government to be replaced immediately, without election.

There a very long list of things that most people disagree with about how our society is governed, how other people behave, and how laws could be changed to the betterment of society. Never once did it occur to me to accuse conservatives of trying to destroy Canada, or to try and take away the rights of other Canadians.

This guy is NOT qualified to be Prime Minister of Canada. And he knows it.

    21. Yes they are, our enemy. They’re traitors and deserve to be treated as such.

    22. Really? Attempting to break apart our nation is not what friends would do. Fuck off, PP

    23. DisorientedViking on

Yes they are, fuck them and anyone who wants to leave Canada, all damn day, fuck them.
