Dit smaakt toch meer naar suiker dan naar chocolademelk. Echte Belgen koken melk en gooien er echte Belgische chocolade in. Cecemel is niet meer dan bruine frisdrank.

En waarom mag dit nu dan wel en 77 jaar geleden niet? Dat mis ik in elk artikel hierover.

Yeah no, I’m OK with this one. Chocomel was supposed to be the name the entire time, it was just early Benelux kind of nonsense that prevented it, I believe.

Lived in Belgium for a bit, when I see this back home in the UK my husband and I still call it cecemel, always will.

Chocomelk heet vanaf nu chocomelk.
Dus zoals het in AH al jaren noemt. Tja zoals Biscoff hé, men kiest een naam die internationaal meer kan aanslaan. Begrijpelijk en ik lig er niet wakker van. Dit is qua nationale symbolen niet de heuvel waarop ik ga sterven.
EINDELIJK.
In Nederland heeft het altijd al Chocomel geheten, ik snapte nooit waarom het hier Cécémel heette.
Ik lees nu dat België het Cécémel noemt vanwege een oud juridisch naamconflict. Na ruim 70 jaar is Cécémel ingepeperd. Nu kan de fabrikant besparen doordat ze maar één soort flesje hoeven te maken.
Jammer. Het was een leuke eigenaardigheid.

Ik vind speculaas Biscoff noemen véél erger. Chocomel ipv. Cécémel is eigenlijk een historische correctie. Hier in Duitsland heet het ook Chocomel trouwens.

Beeld je in dat je de idioot bent die dit bedenkt en/of goedkeurt.
Chocomel was altijd de mindere versie van cecemel. Dit is gewoon een excuus om ook in België op het goedkopere recept over te schakelen.
