FYI : Arbour used to be written „Harbour“ back in the 1600 when her ancestor, Michel Harbour, reached North America.
Originating from the Old English word *herebeorg* (meaning shelter or lodging). This variation (also spelled *Harbour* or *Harberer*) was given to innkeepers, lodging-house operators, or those who provided safe accommodation**.**

I think this is the best choice ever for GG. Supreme Court justices are an excellent choice for GG as they have the constitutional knowledge to use their very limited but real discretionary powers in a responsible way. She won’t be pushed around by the politicians if we ever get to the point where the GG needs to use these powers.
The GG used to be a mostly symbolic appointment for retired British military leaders. Then it became a position used for patronage (Ray Natyshyn) and what Conservatives would call virtue signaling (e.g. appointing Canada’s first woman astronaut clearly had nothing to do with her ability to do the job).
400k a year salary and even after you leave office, a lifetime expense account to travel and schmooze. Yet the last GG still had the gall to complain about the job being stressful lol.

Anyway, she looks awesome and it’s such a lovely day out today. And I got to hear (and see in the distance) the jets flying over. Definitely a perk living in the nation’s capital.
