It’s hilarious how the concept of „army of one“ that the USA pushed back in the day (battlefield overview, tactical systems integration. Multipurpose multi weapon systems etc etc) is now fielded by Ukraine using OFF THE SHELF components.

Another way Ukraine is leveraging existing satellite technology to give its soldiers an advantage over the orcs. I hope it proves very successful.

      Glory to Ukraine

(And fingers crossed that Mr. Musk doesn’t get wind of this buy the company and shut it down as a gift to his Russian masters)

      > Over the past six months, these small-team missions have utilized images from Vantor, a Colorado-based commercial satellite operator, to drastically improve the speed and precision of Ukraine’s drone strikes.

Fantastic advertising for Vantor, but you’d think that would be kept tightly under wraps. Both for the security of the company personnel, and because we know Putin’s going to call his bitch in Washington and tell him to stop them.

    5. How nice of WSJ to show Russians how UA got their targeting info … I’m sure nothing bad could come from that. But, sure, getting few more clicks on their webpage or few subscribers is totally worth it. The same with the CNN and leaking how Palantir upgraded UA’s drone operation … good job everyone!

Innovation is crazy fast in this war. How will war be done next year? Drones connection to satelites and AI fully automatic kill chain?

    7. Cool, but, FFS, why brag bout it on the internet? Isn’t there an ongoing war or something???
