      But they got to support a genocidal apartheid state that isn’t in Europe so I think they’re happy about it. They are both natives of a non-european nation that was promised to them 3,000 years ago, but also Europeans, but not European colonists. Schrodinger’s europeans both european and not depending on what’s good for an argument.

      They don’t care. As long as Israeli money keep flowing, everything is good. Even if everyone suddenly stopped participating and very few countries are left, they’ll still hold a contest just for Israel.

      It’s insane to me how these corpos keep on jeopardize their own cash cow for nearly no money incentive. All they had to do was to ban the country that nobody wants to see until they get their shit together but instead they literally nuked their entreprise. Am i missing something ? How can these people be so out of touch with their audience ?

      To me it felt that last year was just too much drama and the song choices weren’t that good (to me anyway) and after the disaster of the portuguese presentation (once again this is my opinion i know many will disagree) and that they didn’t pass to the final a lot of people in my country just dropped the show altogether and yeah those could be the reasons why people didn’t watch it but idk people could have lost interest in the show as far as I’m aware, nobody around my age (mid-20’s) watched it so it could also be people not caring about it and just watch other stuff

      I am 34 years old Bosnian. In our home, Eurovision was like a family tradition. You would gather around and watch it. My first show that I watched was in 1997. I was even in Belgrade when Serbia had a right to organize it. Since 2015 (let’s say), quality has dropped a lot. There more politics for sure and songs quality are not that important anymore. Despite all of that (and I understsnd logic behind), I still think that is utterly ridiculous to have Australia here. Another dimension that is killing the ESC are politics. It is logical that neighbours would vote for each other but almost every year, you can guess who is probably going to give 12 points. Another thing, this year’s edition was catastrophic. My opinion, which you have right not to agree with . A ton f songs sounded like AI made them.

      Politics aside, this year it was simply boring and poorly presented. Felt like they were just rushing through to the vote.

      I’m just gonna say it, even without all the controversy, the show is a bigger dumpster fire with each passing year + a lot less people watch tv, the ratings for most stuff are down
