The fact that this is new to them is significant. The residents of St. Petersberg will have a harder time ignoring the war now! Hope to see more of these attacks.
Reminds me of a WW2 quote from Arthur Harris, head of the UK bomber command:

Ukraine has shown unbelievable levels of restraint and escalated so slowly, you’d think they’re trying to avoid civilian casualties in Russia or something!
Maybe, just maybe, this will become a regular thing. Maybe, Russians will start taking this absolute crime of a war seriously when they can’t pretend this war is a far off thing.
And maybe the rest of the world will support Ukraine the way it should have been from day 1. 🤨
As long as they aren’t at oil or military targets, the citizens have practically nothing to fear. Ukrainians won’t target hospitals or apartment buildings on purpose
Ordinary Russians should not worry; Ukraine uses precision strikes that don’t target civilians
