Well, she’s not really wrong that history is generally kind to victors and if Hamas were successful in establishing control over the area they would probably at some point start being talked about as liberators rather than terrorists.
It’s still a rather silly thing to say in reference to a widely considered evil group, knowing such a statement could easily be taken as support for said group.
Also not sure about her examples, are the IRA lauded as heroes by anyone outside of fervent Irish republicans and cosplaying Americans?

Islamic extremists aren’t heroes. Ever. I don’t give a shit if they’re fighting for a country. They aren’t the good guys. Their views are abhorrent. They throw people off buildings, stone women that they believe to be adulterers, hang or shoot LGBTQ people.
No. Sick and tired of them being portrayed as freedom fighters. Look at the morality police in Iran or the rights women have lost in Afghanistan. That’s because of extremists.
