Jährlicher Fleischkonsum über 60 kg > 59,8 kg jährlicher Reiskonsum.
Ich dachte, wir essen mindestens doppelt so viel Reis wie Fleisch, aber das stimmte nicht. Für mich ist es eine Überraschung.

Korea is the largest importer of US beef and the fourth-largest importer of Australian beef.
If you consider cooked weight, its easily twice as much.

This isn’t really all that surprising. Have you seen all the meat restaurants out here? There’s like 20+ chicken franchises, 꼬치 spots, 곱창, duck, 족발, thousands of Korean BBQ restaurants not to mention all the burger joints. Top that off with the millions…[and millions](https://tenor.com/view/the-rock-dwayne-johnson-love-me-yes-basking-gif-19918390) of bars all over and guess what they sell. The phrase chicken and beer isn’t famous for nothing.
Rice number is dry weight?
They have/had game shows where you do not win a TV, or a fridge, or a car. You win meat.
Also, having been in korea a handful of times: you get 300gr of meat and 5 grains of rice when you go out to bbq.
