Da einige von euch PN-Heulsuse die Drittpartei-Abstimmung als Verschwendung bezeichnet haben: Herzlichen Glückwunsch, dass ihr für das „kleinere Übel“ gestimmt habt.

Yes! I’m so annoyed at the liberals on this sub who think that voting for PN is somehow the „lesser evil“ when PN are also responsible for our environmental degredation. I’ve reluctantly voted for ADPD & Momentum because they are the only ones consistent on the environment and aren’t in the pockets of developers.

I did not vote for the lesser evil.
I voted for change.

It was a wasted vote. 10500 party preference votes went unheeded.
Those 10500 votes could have closed the seat gap from 5 to thee or two.
Instead we have another comfortable lead for PL.
So yes a 3rd party „1“ is a half wasted vote.

Biex nivvota l PN għax „lesser evil“ might as well nibqa bil PL għax almenu bit tajjeb u l ħażin tijaw naf fejn qijed. L onila bidla kienet tkun Momentum.

Imagine if ADPD and Momentum had agreed to a coalition — maybe they would have made it into Parliament and put pressure on Labour to stop doing deals with Portelli, etc. /s
Someone should tell him that a large share of his party’s votes probably came from Labour supporters who didn’t want to vote PN 🤦♂️
But let’s give him the benefit of the doubt:
1. Did he speak about the housing price situation in Malta? No — and this is one of the biggest issues people are facing.
2. His only traffic solution seemed to be shared taxis for students. Good idea in theory — I loved the Cool Cabs concept before it went bust — but unfortunately it never really caught on in Malta.
Also neither party, big or small failed to realize that in summer (and when schools are closed) most of the traffic dissappears, yet even though with the free transport parents are still opting to drive there kids to school
3. Nothing on overpopulation.
4. Yes, he spoke about corruption and the use of land in Pembroke (I don’t agree with mind you), but he has to understand that most people don’t really prioritise environmental issues. People complain about them, yet still gave Labour another strong mandate after 13 years — during which, mind you, they never reversed the ODZ policies introduced under PN.

Voted for ADPD even though I’m in favour of spring hunting (since it was mentioned in the post)

Why is it being assumed that PN and not PL is the lesser evil?
